2026 Traverse City Elks Lodge Annual Fundraiser
Our annual golf fundraiser is one of the most important events of the year, and it depends on the help of generous volunteers. From setup and registration to course support and evening activities, there are many ways to be part of the event and help everything run smoothly.
Whether you can help for a short shift or throughout the day, your time and effort are appreciated. Below is an overview of the volunteer opportunities available for the 2026 golf fundraiser.

Use the form below to sign up as a volunteer for the 2026 Elks Golf Fundraiser. Indicating the roles or activities you’re interested in helps us organize the event more effectively and place volunteers where they’re needed most.
Friday Evening – Lodge Setup
Friday evening is all about getting the lodge ready for the weekend. Volunteers in this section will help prepare the space so it is organized, welcoming, and ready for guests and event activities.
- Set up tables at the lodge – 2 volunteers
- Place centerpieces – 2 volunteers
- Set up silent auction display – 2 volunteers
Saturday Morning – Course Setup
Saturday morning begins early as the course is prepared for the day’s golfers. These volunteer roles help make sure registration areas, carts, and event materials are in place before participants begin to arrive.
- Set up registration tables – 3 volunteers
- Place cart sponsor materials and swag bags in each cart – 2 volunteers
Some setup items, including hole signs and proxy markers, will be handled by the golf course staff.
Saturday – Golf Event Support
During the golf outing, volunteers help keep the event organized and enjoyable for everyone involved. These roles include assisting guests, monitoring activities on the course, and helping with logistics throughout the day.
- Greeters – direct participants and answer questions – 2 volunteers
- Registration table assistance – 4 volunteers
- Contest observers – monitor contests across the course – 10 volunteers total
- Runners – check on volunteers, assist with needs, and deliver lunch – 2 to 4 volunteers depending on shifts
- Collect scorecards at the end of play – 1 to 2 volunteers
- Pick up hole sponsor cards and proxies – 2 volunteers
- General cleanup around the course – 4 volunteers
Saturday Evening – Lodge Event
After the golf outing wraps up, the evening event at the lodge brings everyone together. Volunteers in this section will help guests, support raffle and auction activities, and assist with dinner service and awards.
- Greeters at the lodge entrance – 2 volunteers
- Silent auction support – 1 volunteer
- 50/50 raffle ticket sales – 4 volunteers
- Bus tables and assist with dining area cleanup – 6 volunteers
- Announce winners and award prizes – 1 volunteer
